Unified Service Desk (USD) Training

Duration: 3 Days

Overview - This course provides technical resources a deep dive into USD. The Unified Service Desk allows advanced applications to be created that will manage the agent desktop experience for CRM for Dynamics 365. It adds the ability to organize windows into Sessions to keep multiple customer interactions separated to improve data quality and agent manageability, create completely customized user experiences - including toolbars, agent scripting, overview information, alerts, and menus - using only configuration done through CRM for Dynamics 365, and auto populate complete Dynamics 365 forms with data from other tabs or applications. It also includes a powerful rules engine for routing Dynamics 365 popup windows to specific tabs and controlling behavior of the user experience.

Schedule
Times noted in local time. Online/Remote trainings are in CST, unless noted.
Day 1: 8:30am - 5pm
Day 2: 8:30am - 5pm
Day 3: 8:30am - 5pm

A light breakfast, beverages, snacks, and lunch are included in the price of enrollment for all in person trainings. For online trainings, the instructor will take short breaks as well as a brief lunch break, but we recommend having a plan in place for lunch and snacks since our instructor will need to keep moving at the scheduled pace.

Audience
This course is intended for technical architects, developers, and administrators with .NET experience and CRM for Dynamics 365 admin experience.  Not recommended for end users.

Technology Requirements

This training requires access to a longterm Internet connection, capable of supporting video streaming for the entire duration of the training.  Attendees will need a Windows or Mac to participate in labs (Note: iPad Pro is not compatible with the labs.  Computers will not be provided.).

PowerObjects recommends laptops and other required devices be plugged in to a power source at the start of training to prevent disruption.  If possible, multiple monitors/screens are recommended.  DISCLAIMER: PowerObjects is not responsible for any disruptions, lack of service, or missed training due to inadequate technology or setup on the customer side.

Environment
Similiar to in-person training, the days can be long.  PowerObjects recommends an ample supply of caffeine and/or trinkets to fidget with to keep yourself active and alert.  PowerObjects also recommends a comfortable seating arrangement, as well as a setup in a location with minimal distractions.  It is also advised to set Skype, etc. to Do Not Distrub mode.
